How To Patch These Holes WHIR

Postby sigriffey » Fri Apr 05, 2013 1:06 pm

This team is stacked in several respects, but it is also top-heavy, leaving me with sme hr/RBI holes ... Most notably at catcher, SS, and utility. Any suggestions on a player(s) I might leverage in a trade to extend my rotation or improve the aforementioned offensive holes? One though I've had is to shop Stanton who is in his final keeper year. But I'd need to get lots of power back to justify it. My team has 3 homers for the entire week thus far with slim rbis...

My immediate advice would be patience...there's no way a team with Fielder/Braun/Upton/Stanton/Cabrera is going to have a long-standing HR drought.

I'll get back to this later, but I did want to share that with you. These guys will eventually hit.

Anyone see those 2 Fielder HRs? Haha. Did I call that or what?

Anyway, the only player on your team that I'm down on is Weaver, which we spoke about briefly yesterday. I might wait for him to have a great start, and try to sell him as a #1 fantasy pitcher or high-end #2 fantasy (I think he's no more than a low-end #2, high-end #3 by year's end).

Who ought I target if I move weaver? Matt Cain is available since I know a guy who has him but hates giants. But is Cain a downgrade?

Cain is an upgrade. If he's willing to do that, take it.
