Postby CisedForBryce » Thu Apr 04, 2013 9:53 pm

5x5 12-team h2h keeper.

Team B gets: McCutchen(can't be kept)
Team A gets: Cespedes(10th round keeper next season), ???

OR
B: McCutchen/Gallardo(or any other SP)
A: Cespedes/Cain

As Team A, I'm not sure what to ask for as a second player in the first deal, or whether I should just stand pat.

Team A:

1b) ad gonzalez
2b) weeks
3b) m cabrera
ss) rollins
mi) b-roberts
ci) freeman
of) mccutchen, harper, cruz, morse
u) dom. brown
sp) gallardo, m. moore, halladay, cj wilson, miley, vogelsong
rp) wilhelmsen, frieri
bench: taveras, a.j. griffin, straily, jose fernandez
DL) hart, madson

Team B)
c) c. santana
1b) encarnacion
2b) utley
3b) a-ram
ss) tulo
mi) gyorko
ci) morales
of) j. upton, ellsbury, cespedes, ichiro
u) hicks

Pretty fair trade, you could maybe try and ask for a late round pick too. But I like this trade for you since you can't keep McCutchen.

Thanks. I was thinking of asking for Minor as well. We only keep three players(costing a min. of the 13th round), and Harper is locked in as an 11th rounder.

as stated above, I like the Cespedes side bc McCutchen cannot be kept going forward... short-term aka this season, the dropoff shouldn't "lose" the league for you, I like it but maybe try n get a little bit more? u never wanna press ur luck of course but its cant hurt to ask

Thanks for the help on mine!

Personally I don't think it's nearly enough straight up. It's a bit better with the Gallardo/Cain upgrade, but I still as for more (adding Minor is a good move). While you can't keep McCutchen, he's still the most valuable piece in this move (IMO by quite a bit). I would be waiting for more of a return, or negotiating for more with Team B. I think Cespedes/Cain/Minor is decent enough to pull the trigger, but I wouldn't go lower than that.
