He's offering Roy Halladay for Brian Giles. I feel like I need a stud pitcher, but I don't know about breaking up my outfield. It's nice to have Sheffield, Bonds, and Giles starting.
Aside from that, Halladay is not worth Giles straight up, in my humble opinion, although they are rated very close together on ESPN's LiveDraft (Giles is #29 with Halladay #34). You do need pitching, however, and he has it aplenty, so you two ought to maek something work out.
Maybe try to do a two for two involving one OF and one P with you getting a pitching upgrade and him getting an OF upgrade.

CBS Sportsline. I don't know if a two for two deal would work in this case, as it would kind of defeat the point. I'm sorely lacking in pitching, so I don't want to give up more. He's sorely lacking in Outfielders, so he doesn't want to give up more.
The real question is, will I be significantly better with Halladay as opposed to Giles? Losing giles, my outfield would then probably be Bonds, Kearns, Sheffield. That could be great, but Kearns could also sh*t the bed.
So right now, my starting OF and pitchers are:
Bonds, Giles, Sheff
Gagne, Wagner, Beckett, Pettite, Reed, Williams, Moss
After, it would be:
Bonds, Kearns, Sheff
Gagne, Wagner, Beckett, Halladay, Pettite, Reed, Williams.
Those top four pitchers are now pretty nice, but is it a huge improvement? BTW, wins are 10 points, -2 for losses.
Giles is one of my favorites, as he's a good all-around player -- the 15 or so steals on top of the 35+ HRs are just nice, nice, nice. That said, you really could use the pitching. I think most folks would say to pull the trigger on that deal.

Giles is a 5-cat player, I would defintely try to get oswalt from him, if he turns that down I would go with Halladay because you need a pitcher BAD and his outfield blows. Don't rush the trade though, take a look at other teams and see what they got.
He's in as much need of OF as you are of P, I would agree with Sponge and say go for Oswalt. I would point out that Giles is basically a lock for 35-15 whereas Halladay involves more risk for you since he's not as proven.
You are basically trading Giles/Moss for Halladay/Kearns. I think you have to do it. The difference between Halladay and Moss is MUCH greater than the difference between Giles and Kearns IMO.
At least Kearns has the potential to be as good or close to Giles. There is no chance on Moss being as good as Halladay.
