Stanton's R and RBI will be low but I don't think it effects his HR total much. Unless you think they Marlins are going to be playing a lot of close games there is no reason to pitch around him.

Nice to see the Padres finally get a win against the juggernaut that is the Mets. B-)

I'm loving me some Davis. I drafted him as my third OF for $3, hoping for a repeat, or even near repeat of last season. Looks like he's finally breaking out. Could end up a huge steal for pretty much all who drafted him. Even if he fades big time, he has basically helped to win me HR's, AVG, OPS, and RBI this week, and that alone is worth the $3 I spent on him. Anything else is gravy. And there could be a shitton of gravy if the early going is any indication of what's to come. Guy is flat locked in right now.

BOOM. Base clearing 2 run double!

I guess, but even so, why pitch to him when you can pitch to Greg Dobbs instead, regardless of game situation? I don't think he's going to see too many hittable pitches, and I think this could lead to him pressing. That's why I think it will lead to a slight power outage.

So... Villareal blows it up in the 8th today. Alberquerque comes in to put out the fire, guns a blazing, with the letters falling off his shirt and promply K's the last out. I'm guessing his turn for the 9th is next.

Brian Roberts just stole his first base of the season!

But he injured his right knee and had to be carried off the field. :~(

Well he lasted about 2 games longer than I would have expected.

As far as I'm concerned it's a neutral move considering how poorly that lineup has been hitting. At least he might squeak in an extra at bat.
