How would you rate these pitchers for this season? Any stand out above the rest? Or below the rest?

Hellickson
Ryu
J Hammel
Wandy Rodriguez
Paul Maholm

Thanks and leave a link if you like ;-D

Yeah Ryu, Hammel, and Wandy are all nice options too. But they all also carry a lot more risk then Hellickson IMO.

I would take a chance on Ryu.

My personal preference would be:

Hammel
Ryu
Maholm
Hellickson
Wandy

I've learned never to trust Wandy. I've never really liked Hellickson, and fantasy-wise, I think he's the worst option in that rotation. Hammel has improved his K/9 split the last few years, and I just think the O's are once again an under the radar team. Ryu looked ok in his first outing but I can't say I was overwhelmed. Maholm is steady. Not flashy at all, but won't kill your team's splits either.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

I like Hammel. He is indeed under the radar.

i'd go hellickson first and foremost..... he's had a 2.93/1.10 and 3.25/1.20 season or two, adn even tho he got roughed up he had some nagging lil injury @ the end of spring so as he comes out of that you'd figure to get the helly youwanna get. and if his k-rate got upwards and started being 1k/ip-ish he'd be yahoo o-ranked far higher than 205 or whatever. that k-rate is the only thing holding him down, and he was a big K guy in the minors, so if you look at the development of a felix hernandex, while his K rates were always there, it took him a few years to just turn around and go BA-BLAM I'M FELIX FK'N HERNANDEZ so like, def hellickson is the wya to go.

i aint excited about hammel, and i'd only look at ryu as a 2nd-to/last pitcher on your staff. as a flier. i mean the team he's on should help get wins, but i think he could be like 3.79/1.28 and nobody would be surprised. IRL that's not bad, but in your fantasy league if you've got a 3.79/1.28 short of being in a super super super deep league that aint gonna win you a title unless you're offensively perfect and leading the world in Ks/wins/saves

take a look @ mine would ye? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=457882
