Quick question on these AL starting pitchers, WHIR

Postby etex211 » Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:00 pm

This is a fairly deep 12 team AL only 5x5 roto league. I am just looking for a quick yes or no on each of the following pitchers. Would you take these guys over a quality 8th or 7th inning reliever?

Jake Arrieta
Dylan Axelrod
Luis Mendoza
Liam Hendriks
Cole DeVries
Dan Straily
Blake Beavan
Brandon Maurer
Roberto Hernandez

Thanks. WHIR, please leave a link.

Depends on the 7th-8th inning guy?

I like only Straily out of that list

After looking at the 7th-8th inning guys available, they aren't that great, either. There's a couple of decent ones. I've got to replace two of my pitchers that are starting the season on the DL. This is how thin the pickings are.

In the league, there are 14 pitchers in all that have to be replaced this week.

I would roster up to 3 of those guys on that list...I'm not sure I have a preference on order yet...

Arrieta
Maurer
Straily

probably would steer clear of the others for now. I could see any one of those 3 going top 40 on SPs this year. Maurer is a dark horse for AL ROY for a couple ESPN guys. Don't know if I'd go that far, but he could be useufl.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)
