So this. ;-D

I'm still saddened and shocked remembering how Turner Broadcasting paid bucu dollars for them in 2012. :-S

Because of this, I'm constantly reminded of their existence on TNT during NBA games. :-C

That's probably because the average fan is also an average writer with average knowledge. I like the crowdsourced concept, but by inviting all sorts of people to write, the likelihood the quality of content suffers is greater. Curation is still very important. Also, slideshows make for a pointless user experience when what's written is the content.

As for Razzball, I'm in the minority for not liking their content, but that's because I have no sense of humor whatsoever.

I'm like that too, I'd rather read a nerdy Cockcroft article over a fluffy one from Brad Evans or Grey. I just trust the saner sounding guy more. If I want entertainment I'll watch Mitch Williams or John Kruk or how funny Joe Buck looks http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=i ... 6569068978

People like slideshows? Maybe of vacations in the old 50's white-rimmed slide style, but man, flipping through online slideshows are really annoying. BR and Rotoworld need to cut that crap out.

The attention span of the average person is incredibly short. They don't want to sit down and read an article, they want to flip through some pictures with short, easy to read captions that give them the information they desire. You have to understand that they are targeting the mass market, not the niche ultra-competitive players like we have on the cafe.

Oh yes, I forgot who I was for a moment. :-B

The fantasy sports mass market sounds like it is stupid, for those slideshows barely glean the information necessary to bother fielding a competitive fantasy team. Might as well just post a picture of a scantily clad woman, the name/face of a player, and a rating of "Oog, Really Good!" if the mass market isn't willing to bother. Flipping through pictures is also tedious, since you have to get through ten clicks of loading time (and ads) to get information that is mildly palatable for one's purposes. (shrug)

Well anyway, I hate slideshows. Thank goodness for disabling browser plug-ins that just get the information printed out on one screen. Take that BR and now Razzball.

Just figuring that out? Think about how stupid the average person is and that should tell you all you need to know.

Is there anything worse than seeing a headline of "Most likely to be moved at trade deadline" (or something similar), clicking it, and then being taken to a slideshow of 10 pictures with no real content and things like "Player X could be traded because of his contract" being written as the inside info? To me, the answer is no.
