what of the report that he'd be shut down a month and might need tommy john?

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Jason Motte (elbow) is "still a significant time away" from being cleared for a throwing program.

You have to drop him to get one of those guys? I think Chisek is a really nice CL play this year. Not so much love for League or Parnell, but if you can find a way to add Chisek without dropping Motte, you ought to do so.

I don't think I would drop Motte, although right now it is hard to feel confident about when he will return.
