Should've pulled Oswalt...

Before he gave up that bomb to Bonds. I would've pulled him right after letting Durham on. That single showed that he was probably done for the night. Lidge is more than adequate as a set-up man. I just have to hate on Jimy for batting Lance and Ensberg down at six and seven. :-b

Oswalt only threw 83 pitches, so I don't think he was done after the single to Durham. Babe Ruth Bonds just got the best of him.

I got an idea. Throw the best hitter ever a fastball right down the middle immediately after a conference on the mound.

He was looking fastball all the way. They had an empty base, why did they give him anything to hit?

Thanks to that pitch, I lost a win (Oswalt) and a save (Dotel). To make matters worse, I have Berkman and Kent (combined 0 for 5) and my opponent has frigging Bonds (3 for 3, 2R, HR, 3RBI). Shouldn't have watched this stupid game. I'm so pissed I probably won't sleep. <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>

Oh well. I guess there's always tomorrow.

Sigh.. its much harder to have a starter start well, and lose it all instead of one recovering. Bonds is the freaking devil.. Oswalt is added to the list of Opening day disasters.
