Santana personally footed the $20M bill for that one-hitter, so I'm glad he enjoyed it at least, haha

Too bad the Twins didn't believe in Gomez. Not saying he's a good MLB player but even a mediocre player that's still in the lineup would really swing the trade in the Twins favor.

Too bad for Johan. I don't think there were many that didn't have him penciled in for Cooperstown. I think a lot of people knew he'd fade faster than others but all he really needed was a couple more Cy Young seasons to have a good shot.

Well, if that's all he really needed then I suppose it isn't a lot to ask out of a SP. 8-o

Lol. Well, he would have got them if he didn't get injured. For most pitchers that seems like an absurd statement, but it's Johan. Probably the greatest pitcher of this generation of players (enter Wier) and he won't be enshrined.

Are you sure? I am gonna make you work for this one a bit more. Show what he was trending to do. How good the Mets offense was those years he would have won it sans injury and also who the other competitors were those years for the Cy Young.

Not saying you are wrong....just calling you out a bit in good natured fun and making you prove your statement more. :-D

Then I confidently say you have nothing but your word to stand on with that statement. ;-)
