No way are the rockies better than the diamondbacks and they probably aren't even better than the padres.

Would have been good if they got one good SS instead of two crappy ones, but the rest of the roster is pretty solid. If they continue to make decisions that hurt their team then that might change. But as it stands I like their pitching depth, even if they lack an ace, and they have a bullpen that can shut down games.

Either way, this will be a great one to follow as I think there are 4 teams with a real shot at winning it.

you cant really think AZ is the best team in the division can you?
the bullpen will be fine, but the rest of the team is borderline awful

Their pitching was really good last year. Better than the Giants after adjusting for ballparks. And if anything, they've improved it with McCarthy and having Hudson for more of the season, and also Randall Delgado. Their hitting is also pretty good. They may have made horrible decisions in the offseason but most of the damage was done to future seasons and their bank balance.

Ok, I'll say it once, I'll say it again... the SF Giants were NOT this dominating Pitching team that everyone thinks they were. The team road ERA was very mediocre. Lincecum and Zito are very high risk. Bumgarder had a .420 Road ERA. Vogelsong was pretty bad in the second half and has bad peripherals. They play in the most forgiving stadium in the majors for pitching.

Melky Cabrera was huge for them when he was active..this is now an impossiblity.
Buster Posey was huge for them. Could happen again. But we all know the track record of consistency for Catchers.
marco Scutaro - Will not repeat that performance either.
Pandy - very injury risky again.

So yeah, the Giants have had a lot of nice breaks their way.

It'll be neck and neck between the Dodgers and Midgets all season. Both teams are pretty deep. SF's pitching and defense is outstanding.

I think that the Padres could surprise some peeps this season too.

What's the Rockies win % when Tulo/Cargo play? I know it's better than .500. As I said, if one believes these two guys can remain largely healthy, they're better than a cellar dweller.
