Montero for Sano, Cole, or Taillon?

5X5 H2H Keeper league. Keep 8 guys losing the round they were drafted in they year before. Keepers only move up one round per year if you continue to keep someone ie. I have David Price in round 21 right now. Minor leaguers you bring up start at round 24, so young players count for a lot.

My Team:

A.J. Pierzynski
Prince Fielder
Chase Utley
Mike Moustakas
Ben Zobrist
Adam Jones
Yoenis Cespedes
Desmond Jennings
Freddie Freeman

David Freese
Carlos Gomez
Mark Teixeira

Clayton Kershaw
David Price
Craig Kimbrel
Fernando Rodney
Roy Halladay
Jason Grilli
A.J. Burnett
Hisashi Iwakuma
Dan Haren
Bud Norris
Jason Vargas
DL
Brandon Beachy

Guy is offering me Jesus Montero for one of Sano, Cole, Taillon, Beachy, or Haren. I am apt not to do the deal even though I need catchers because the of the upside of the players he is asking for and I need Haren this year. Anyone else have another thought?

What can Montero be kept for? 23rd round pick? I'd trade Taillon for him in a second personaly.

I am from the school where you always keep a young bat over a young arm of similar value so Cole would not be out of the question for me either. Though I would try to trade Taillon first. Assuming Montero is a very late keeper as well.

How come you need Haren? Overrated as far as this year as far as I'm concerned. I'd trade Haren for Santana in a heartbeat, especially looking at your roster.

The only downside with Montero is that he will count as one of your keepers after this season compared to Cole or Taillon but I think you still do the trade. People are really down on this 23 yr old for some reason. Did they expect him to crush the ball his first season while playing in SafeCo and in a putrid offense? I think this is a decent buy low time.
