Blockbuster Trade Help

Postby camvz08 » Tue Mar 26, 2013 9:08 pm

Head-to-Head Point League:

I was offered: Giancarlo Stanton, Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval, & C.J. Wilson

I give: Jose Bautista, Yadier Molina, Ryan Zimmerman, Victor Martinez

The main reason I am considering this trade is because I have Chase Headley on my bench already. Sandoval will be good for beginning of the year since headley will be on DL. Thoughts? Should I accept?

Yes, accept it now. Stanton is a beast and although Bautista has been great, he's about 20 years older than Giancarlo (exaggeration) and I believe less of an injury risk. Bautista has a better lineup around him but Stanton WILL get his numbers. Plus, I had Bautista last year and that wrist injury still scares me. I like Posey much more than Molina this year and Sandoval is close enough to Zimmerman to make this deal work for you. I'm not much of a fan of C.J. but the trade is still in your favor big time in my opinion. Hope this helps.

Help with mine?

I wouldn't take it...Sandoval already has injury issues this pre season and Wilson is a huge risk. While it'd be great to get Posey and Stanton, but you're giving up consistency in Molina, power in Bautista (and several injury experts say he's healed fine and has low risk of re-injuring that wrist) and Zimmerman is in a much stronger lineup than Sandoval. VMart is also a tough one to give up since he hits near .300 every year he's healthy. Ask for more than Wilson and upgrade Sandoval. Zimmerman is a startable 3B too, so you don't NEED a 3B while Headley's out

I'm not sold on it either, Bautista is the best player here. Not enough in return to take this.

It's fair, just don't think it's better for you
