Unless Roy Halladay, Chase Utley, and Ryan Howard come back with a bang I think it has to be Washington.

Atlanta is also always in the discussion... Especially with the Upton brothers.

Nats look like the best team in baseball to me at this point.

Nats, but I think the Braves could challenge them.

I agree. I like the Braves but I don't think adding the Uptons will make them better than they were in 2012. In fact I think they're considerably worse. They lost Prado, Bourn and Chipper. That's 15 WAR. The Upton brothers might replace half of that. They're going to be playing Juan Francisco and Chris Johnson as their 3B tandem and frankly, they kinda stink. We also don't know about McCann. The rotation is questionable, with everybody expecting too much from Medlen and Teheran. I have serious doubts about both of them. They'll be without Beachy for a long time, and we don't know how long it'll take him to get back to where he was at. Minor and Hudson are pretty good 3rd/4th starters. But none of this improves on last season. I see 5 mediocre starters. The bullpen is excellent, but Venters looks to be injured. And we all know how volatile relievers are. But still, between those 4 great arms they should be among the best in the league i that respect.

So... yeah, I went with the Nationals. If Haren and the Zimmerman(n)s are healthy, they are probably the best team in baseball.

Depends on how their rotation pans out. Will Mike Minor not be atrocious in the first half, will Teheran put up a ROY capable season, will Medlen do it all year, etc. Washington is just too deep with their starting pitching and the odds of Bryce Harper putting up a monster season look good to me.

I don't see Philly keeping close to either team, healthy or not. Obviously the Marlins are back to tank mode and the Mets are going to use 2013 to develop their young guys then try again for real in 2014 once Wheeler, Harvey, and D'Arnaud have some mlb seasoning and the Mets aren't paying for Santana and Bay anymore, will have some money to actually sign a mlb material outfielder.

I think the Braves will quietly be the best team in the NL this year. Washington will be right there as well. But Atlanta will take the division.
