Dude, you have a monster OF offense. Holy smokes. Cargo, Stanton, Bruce, Rios and Aoki are going to give you a ton of HRs, RBIs and steals. Well done. I'm jealous.

Not a huge fan of Montero (but you probably got him cheap, so... no harm) I'm low on Escobar, and Craig is not a huge 1B power source, but with the rest of your offense that is totally neglectable. You could consider checking the waiver wire for an upgrade over Belt (on whom I have soured a bit), but you look in great shape offensively. I don't think your pitching is that bad, to be honest. I'm super high on Sale, Latos and Estrada, while Peavy (when healthy) is an ace, and Harvey has tremendous upside. I'm not big on Gee or Hammel (waiver wire fodder in most my leagues), but worth a flyer I guess. Though in a 10 team league, I think there might be better alternatives. Kenley will give you a ton of Ks and potentially Saves (he should.. they need to figure things out in LA). Perez and Veras are 'meh' but you could do worse.

If you haven't yet, could you take a look at either of my two teams? viewtopic.php?t=457114 and/or viewtopic.php?t=457121. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I updated my original post with the round drafted.

I took Escobar to get stolen bases. And you are right, i'm a little "thin" at the 1B spot, but I thought Craig would have a big year. Agreed Belt is reach hoping that his spring numbers will carry over.

Gee and Hammel were "off the pile" pickups late in the draft and can easily be dumped for WW moves.

I'm betting on Jansen getting the closer role sooner rather than later.

Thanks much!!

#1 I wouldn't dump Gee. I've had him for 2 seasons and he has showed flashes of his quality stuff. Has improved his K rate since entering the big leagues.

#2 Moustakas at 3rd scares me a little.....okay a lot. I don't see the makeup of a quality hitter others have seen. If Belt finds his power stroke a definite power boost for the IF.

#3 The OF is scary good. Hope for a hot Marte start and trade him high.

#4 Lots of K's on that pitching staff, very nice. Watch Perez closely, he's on a pretty short leash in CLE. They won't hesitate to insert Pestano in the closer role. I think Veras is crap personally.

Expected place of finish 3rd or 4th in a 10 teamer.

I Like your team overall, but i think you drafted players like Jansen WAY WAY to early! Your outfield looks good, and the same thing as everyone else your third base looks risky.. very risky..!

Even for a 10 man league, you have plenty of power, runs, RBI, and prob SB;s. You have plenty of saves, K's also. Wins (you never really know) but your staff should be good enough overall barring injuries to your studs like sale. I would say your biggest weakness is average. Cargo and Craig are really your only really 300 + hitters and you have a coulple guys that are close to .250 but I would guess still middle of the pack there. All in all looks like a strong team.

That is a really good team. And I don't think Craig is lights for 1B at all, he's going to be a STUD this year. Great team...

I agree, working on a deal or two to pull up the average.

Yeah, was thinking of picking up Pestano off WW. Veras was just the last available "closer" and it was 2nd to last round, so it's small risk or possible gain.

That is a really good team. And I don't think Craig is lights for 1B at all, he's going to be a STUD this year. Great team...

Fingers crossed!!
