Suggested Start or Innings limit for H2H league?

Postby clarkw267 » Mon Mar 25, 2013 11:18 am

I am doing a H2H league with some friends that wanted to get into fantasy baseball.

I normally do 2 to 3 roto leagues per year, and that is my preference, but some of these guys haven't played before so I figured I'd ease them in.

I want to curtail streaming, so I was wondering what an appropriate limit for either starts or innings would be for the week.

There are 8 Pitcher spots.

8, 10 starts ?

100 innings?

Leave a link and I'll help in return.

Since you are breaking in new players I would go with max starts and set the limit at 10.

If you do decide to go with max innings I like 75 as a weekly maximum although some leagues go with a max of 60 innings to encourage the use of RPs.

Normally in H2H leagues you use a maximum of games started. With 8 pitchers you can figure that each will have three closers and 5 starters plus two starters on the bench. With the seven starters you could easily get ten starts in a week without streaming. That is why I suggest 12 a week max.
