Help choose final keeper - WHIR

Postby handyman01 » Mon Mar 25, 2013 12:59 am

10 team Roto, 5 keepers. Several extra cats.
Batting - R, HR, RBI, SB, BA, OPS, K, Total Bases, Runs Created, Put Outs, Assists
Pitching - ERA, WHIP, K, QS, SV, HD, On Base % Against, K/BB, Earned Runs

New to the league, still getting a feel for all the extra categories.

My four definite keepers are Kemp, Stanton, Posey and Wright.

Fifth will be one of:

Billy Butler
Jered Weaver
Craig Kimbrel

Leaning toward going with Weaver since all of the stud pitchers will likely be kept. Wouldn't usually consider a closer as a keeper, but obviously Kimbrel is a special case.

So, what do you think? Who should I keep?

Butler for sure. Not a Weaver fan and definitely don't think he's keepable over Butler.

It's Butler and not even close. Kimbrel is a sexy choice but Butler is easily worth more than either Kimbrel or Weaver.

I am not as down on Weaver as many seem to be.....but you gotta keep the hitter over the pitcher here. It's just a much, much safer option.

And NEVER, EVER keep a closer in a league with only 5 keepers.
