Which trade should I offer?

Postby sn267537 » Sun Mar 24, 2013 4:05 pm

Have come up with a couple trade ideas. I like to ask for feed back here before I send the offer, in case I'm low balling too much, don't want to up set the other manager

This is a keeper league 10 teams, roto standard 5x5 yahoo

My goal: up grade SP

Offer 1: is cueto a realistic SP to ask for here based on what I'm offering?
I give: peavy and street
I get: cueto

Offer 2: (same team) he is stacked at SP, could use RP and definetly a power bat
I give: peavy, Holliday, and street
I get: hamels, Vogelsong and/or Ben revere

Offer 3: (different team) he can use RP, but I think this might be reaching too much for gio, don't think peavy is attractive enough?
I give: peavy and street
I get: gio Gonzalez

Offer 4: (different team) I like goldy a lot this year, but don't think I could acquire him for this in a keeper? He has Craig as his starting 1B
I give: peavy holliday and street
I get: Jared Parker and goldy

Offer 5: (separate team) could use RP
I give: peavy and street
I get: Wainwright alone or ask for Matt carpenter or michael morse also?

Am I coming up with reasonable trade offerings? Which do u think I should send out and offer?

I could spare Holliday to trade, but would be nice if I could keep him, or like the goldy trade get power in return

I think I like Trade 5 the best. Peavy and Street is a pretty fair offer for Wainwright. Keep in mind that the other guy will likely have to drop someone to accept this trade, so it may make the trade a little less attractive.

Trade 1 is solid, but I think you can do better than Cueto (i'm just not a believer). Its definitely on the right track.

As much as you seem to like Goldschmidt, keep in mind that he and Holliday will put up similar power numbers, but Holliday will likely hit 40 AVG points higher. I like Jarrod Parker, and he's probably comparable to Peavy if not a little better, but I see Holliday to Goldschmidt as a significant downgrade.

ThAnk u so much for a response!

I like trades 1 and 5 also, but I guess trade 3 is too much of a reach

For offer 4 with Parker and goldy should I ask for Rizzo instead? I didn't think goldy would hit so much lower than Holliday BA wise....

If you can get Parker/Rizzo for Peavy/Holliday I would do it in an instant.

I doubt he would do Parker and goldy/Rizzo for peavy and Holliday, but I guess it's worth emailing to ask?

If you are able to swing the fifth deal I like it! Wainwright should slide right back into being a top 10 starter.
