Last Pick in Keeper League? WHIR.

Postby pjtroy34 » Sun Mar 24, 2013 9:23 am

12 team league, 3-year keeper, weekly lineup, each category is a win
6x6: BA, R, HR, RBI, SB, KO-BB; W, L, S+HD, ERA, WHIP, K
C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, (4) OF, DH; (4) SP, (2) RP, (1) P; (8) BENCH; (1) DL
We can keep one player in our top 5 rounds and 10 players overall.
Players drafted or kept in top 5 rounds move up 1 round, all others 2 rounds, waiver pickups assume 15th round.

To utilize the 60 day DL the player has to be on the 60-day DL.

C - M. Montero
1B - Votto, Hosmer
2B - Utley, (Zobrist)
SS - Zobrist
3B - Aramis, Lawrie, Arenado
OF - Stanton, Heyward, Gordon, Markakis, D. Brown, Coco, (Zobrist)
SP - Hamels, Cain, Waino, Medlen, Zimm, Moore, Hellickson, Peralta
RP - Wilhelmsen, Kenley

Who should I take for my last pick?

Considerations for Future (23rd round keeper next year if pans out):
Jameson Taillon - up before September?
Jose Fernandez - up at all? Beginning of 2014?
Kolten Wong - I like the idea of having a 2B keeper so low, but overall impact?
Daniel Hudson - could utilize DL spot and pick someone up after draft...lowers the keeper potential of other player.
Pineda - same as Hudson.
Luebke - same as Hudson.
Hultzen.

Present Plays
Huston Street or Balfour - allows me to go 3 RP in certain matchups, but my starters are good so it shouldn't be needed. Gives some RP insurance...until Street gets hurt.
Alcides - I usually don't back up every position, but with Zobrist's flexibility it would be Utley insurance.
Chris Archer - I think he's a stud, but the Rays don't need him and I don't necessarily either.
Werth - wrist issues?
Maybin - added KO-BB category hurts.
