Who to target with my early picks?

Postby dark2025 » Fri Mar 22, 2013 7:07 pm

This is kind of a long one, but thanks in advance if you're able to help out.

I'm in a points keeper league but I'm keeping fewer than other people in my league so I've got a couple of extra picks.

Based on the list of players below, which 3 guys should I target? Any other names further down in the list that you like?

Thanks again!

How many pitchers, UTL and OF do you start (what are your keepers)? Are your OF specific or just OF?

Can have up to 6 SPs, I've got Latos and Kershaw. 5 general OF, 1 Util, 2 IF. I've got Kinsler, Cano, Hanley, and Beltre.

Thanks!

Definitely draft BJ Upton you need a stud OF...
I'd wait on pitching for awhile.
I'd probably go OF, OF, OF, INF with your early picks best available.

Upton
Pence
Freeman

Good value pick for your 4th or 5th OF slot: Gomez in a few rounds, Granderson should fall a bit and good value pick there if he falls far enough.

Rutledge available for SS til Hanley gets back? You might even can trade him once he comes back if Rutledge tears it up which I think he will.

Thanks. I was already thinking about Upton and Freeman. I'll look into drafting Rutledge too later on in the draft, since none of the other options available at SS are really that attractive to me.
