Each team keeps 5 players: 1 IF, 1 OF, 1 SP , final two are any position. Start each week: 1 at each IF, 3 OFs and one DH (any position), 5 SPs, 1 RP Draft 25 players: 2 at each IF position, 5 OFs, 8 SPs, 2 RPs
Scoring is a little different from 5x5 - includes On Base % - 1 pt per hit, 2 per doubel, 3 pts for triple, 1 pt per BB, HBP, 2 pts per steal Ex. Solo HR is worth 6 pts = HR (4) + Run (1) + RBI (1)
I'm pretty set on the following four players but open for suggestions: C-Posey ($9), 1B-Encarnacion ($6), OF - McCutchen ($21), SP - Gio Gonzalez ($10) - provided he doesn't get suspended.
Encarnacion ($6 - keeper price): (highest scoring 1B in my league)- hitting cleanup in loaded lineup. However 2012 first monster year Freeman ($10) - hitting cleanup Rios ($4) - Rios hitting 3rd with half games in hitters stadium. Tulowitzki ($26) - major injury risk at shallow position
Last 2 keepers come down to EE ($6), Freeman ($10), Rios ($4) -- crazy to even Consider Tulowitzki ($26) ? - Hanley injury diminishes number of elite SS available but monster injury risk. So many OF (deeper position) but could Rios produce top 20 numbers despite age and on again off again yearly production ?
