This doesn't make sense...

He got optioned to AA, but AA is Chattanooga...Albequerque is the AAA affiliate.

I keep seeing that he got sent to AA Albequerque and that doesn't match up.

Doubt it. Trout's performance last year removed everyone's common sense. It usually takes a good 800 MLB PA before you see a breakout. I'm with Ender in that he looks like Dayan Viciedo with more speed. I can see him getting called up around the trade deadline and going .250-10-15

Nothing I'm peeing my pants over.

He is not gonna post Trout's numbers, that's just insane, but he could post Cespedes'. People kept saying the same things about Cespedes last yeay, only thing was he had a sure spot in the lineup.

Hard to post Cespedes numbers when you aren't on an MLB roster.

Let's say I believe Puig will post Cespedes numbers, as some people here clearly do. If Cespedes were injured and out for 3 months I'd probably still draft him and stash him. I'm assuming Puig will get the call at some point if he tears up the minors and a Dodgers OF gets hurt, so I see nothing wrong with taking a risk on the guy if your team can afford a dead spot.

LA has 6 years and $100M in right, 8 years and $160M in center, and 7 years $140M in left. And they have Yasiel Puig in AA. I'm not betting on him getting at-bats any time soon. Not to mention avoiding early free agency and Super 2, considering that Puig can opt out of his contract once he's arb eligible. They'd probably have to trade Ethier or pay most of Crawford's contract and ship him out. And I don't think there's much of a market for either of them.

1. You can't just expect a guy with very little pro experience is gonna come in and post Cespedes numbers.
2. Even if you did, stashing someone on the DL is very different than having someone take up a roster spot for three months.

It all depends on the format...

If you can afford to stash a guy then he's a good one to stash. At this point, I would treat him like any other top tier prospect...because that's what he is. In my main keeper league I drafted him in the 24th round and I can stash him with basically no penalty for as long as I want. Some of my leagues have a deep bench and he could be an option in a league like that. In most redraft leagues he's a guy that will have to be left on the waiver wire for now.

I think the guy is going to set AA on fire...he's way more advanced than the players there. I agree with the Dodgers decision to send him there, I also think that he'll be playing every day for them before July 1st. We'll see how it goes...
