8-team H2H Roto Team (WHIR)

Postby SpartyTigers » Sat Mar 16, 2013 11:37 pm

I'm in an 8 team H2H roto (5 standard batting & 5 standard pitching stats) league through ESPN. 25-man rosters: 13, batters, 9 pitchers, 3 bench. 1 keeper. I drafted 4th.
C: Mike Napoli
1B Paul Goldschmidt
2B: Ian Kinsler
3B: David Freese
SS: Jose Reyes
2B/SS: Jason Kipnis
1B/3B: Ike Davis
OF: Ryan Braun
OF: Andrew McCutchen
OF: Josh Hamilton
OF: Jason Heyward
OF: B.J. Upton
UTIL: Eric Hosmer
Bench: Chris Davis
Bench: Wilin Rosario

P: Cole Hamels
P: CC Sabathia
P: Chris Sale
P: Mat Latos
P: Jonathan Papelbon
P: Jake Peavy
P: Jeff Samardija
P: Greg Holland
P: Addison Reed
Bench: Hiroki Kuroda

My immediate reaction was that a had a lot of first base-eligible players (Napoli, Goldschmidt, Davis, Hosmer, Davis) but none of them standouts. Third base was a huge hole with only 1 eligible player. I also don't have a back up shortstop.
To fill these holes I made this trade:
Receive Ryan Zimmerman
Receive Ben Zobrist
Send Jason Kipnis
Send Mat Latos
This was a great trade for me but now I have no pitching depth. I'm working on a trade involving Ike Davis or Hosmer for a top 30 pitcher. Tell me what you think.
