Do I have enough pitching?

Postby abc11435 » Fri Mar 15, 2013 10:44 pm

12 team 5x5 standard roto. 1400 inning cap.

I'm pretty happy with my offense. Question is do I have enough pitching? Should I make a move for a tier 2/3 SP?

C Jesus Montero
1B Joey Votto
2B Brandon Phillips
3B Adrian Beltre
SS Hanley Ramirez
OF Shin-Soo Choo
OF Chris Davis
OF Coco Crisp
Util Ryan Howard
Util Ike Davis
DL Alex Rodriguez

Pitching
SP Cliff Lee
SP Chris Sale
RP J.J. Putz
RP Rafael Betancourt
P Brandon League
P Carlos Marmol
P Kyuji Fujikawa
P Tim Lincecum

BN Hiroki Kuroda
BN Jeremy Hellickson
BN A.J. Griffin
BN Andy Pettitte

Thanks in advance. ;-D

I dont know how your cap works so i cant give full advice but i know Kuroda should be in ur lineup. Find out if League is even a closer this year and drop him for a different starter. I dont know anything on Fujikawa either. Lee is a stud and the Sale and Lincecum combo is one of the riskiest but i like it. Griffin and Hellickson have potential. I dont think its bad im sure u can find one or two more guys either now or throughout the year on waivers and u should be good.

You have a lot of upside in your pitching. I'd stand pat and work a trade if you need to a few months in.
Dominate is a verb. Dominant is an adjective.

You're ok for now. Pitching can always be found via waiver wire if needed.

Hellickson and/or Kuroda should be in your starting lineup. If Lincecum bounces back to close to what he was you are laughing.

Thanks guys for the input. I actually swung a deal and got Ian Kennedy by giving Marmol + League + Griffin. I feel a lot better about my pitching now, and will grab some ww closer later on. I don't believe Marmol will be the Cubs closer for the full season and League is a tier 3/4 closer anyway.

This is a daily league by the way.
