AL only draft strategy

Postby Rally Cat » Wed Mar 13, 2013 7:56 pm

I took over this team after last season. AL only , 12 team, 5x5 standard scoring. we keep up to 8 players. 23 man roster, 1 utl,1 dh, mi, and ci. 10 pitchers 13 hitters. 260.00 budget
Heres my team right now but that could change in the next day or so. I have a trade pending that doesn't include any of my keepers. I would get Michael Saunders . He is only 1.00

Price 20.00
Aybar 15.00
Trout 5.00
Jennings 10.00
Hosmer 10.00
Janssen 1.00
Alex Cobb 8.00
Wieters 16.00

Two questions:
If I make this trade for Saunders I'm thinking of tossing Wieters back and save the 15.00. Yes / No ?
Since I have one stud starter should I focus most of my spending on hitting and trying to get two or three more #3 or # 4 starters and maybe one more closer and a couple of next in line closers?
How much would you spend on hitting/ pitching?

Thanks for your help. ;-D

Baseball Leftovers
Sleepers, updates, strategy, advice ... if it doesn't fit one of the more specialized categories, it goes right here! (Note: Please do NOT post trade, keeper or 'rate my team' questions - they have separate forums.)

That's... weird. Do you guys both manage the same team? :-?

does this maybe sound like the place you're after?

Draft, Trade, Keeper and Waivers Questions

Let's see, you've got a question about keepers, and who to draft. You might have better luck over there.
