Love these lists. They never get old. * Soriano and Rizzo combine for 70+ HRs, but also just a .265 BA and Cubs lose 100 games...again * Ike Davis's AVG jumps 50pts and he ends up around .275 38HR 110RBI * Martin Prado hits .320 with 50 doubles and swipes 20 bags * Brandon Belt finally figures out big league pitching in route to .290avg and 25HRs * Brian Roberts breaks another hip and decides to officially hang up his spikes * Greg Holland eclipses 100Ks and leads the AL in Saves * Kendrys Morales hits .290 with 30HR and desperately begs (along with fantasy owners) for Seattle to trade him * Chase Utley returns to form, hits .285 and goes 25/20 * James McDonald wins 15 games and posts his first sub-4.00 ERA season * Wil Myers is promoted in early May and ends up leading the Rays in RBI * Bryce Harper hits .285 and just barely misses a 30/30 season...leads Washington to repeat as NL East Champions
Yasiel Puig goes 50-120-50-.340... with a floor of 30-90-30-.300

I like these threads when the predictions are bold but at least POSSIBLE--that is to say, the prediction has a very slim chance of being realized, but there is reason enough to support the premise that it COULD happen. Predictions like that are not only fun, but actually useful, because every season crazy things do happen. Some of the predictions in this thread fit that criteria, while others, like that last one, don't. I find that prediction neither fun nor useful. May as well say that Stephen Strasburg is going to win 30 games with a 1.05 ERA, 0.65 WHIP, and 325 Ks. It's just not going to happen, in any universe.
On the contrary, I could see Strasburg winning 24 games, having a 2.15 ERA, a 1.05 WHIP, and 275 Ks, and being the unanimous choice for NL Cy Young and NL MVP. Is it likely? Hell no. Is it possible? Yes.
A few others:
-Stanton hits 60 HR's -Matt Harvey is top 5 in NL Cy Young voting -Joey Votto hits 70 2B's but only 18 HRs -Salvador Perez goes .300, 25, 90, 90 and finishes top 10 in AL MVP voting -Jay Bruce finally takes the next step and realizes the full potential of his power by mashing 50 HR's

my "REAL" predictions are listed above.... I only added the Yasiel Puig prediction bc I feel like the last week or so, I've heard some pretty outrageous things about the kid, Bo Jackson comparisons, "Trouts-Speed with Big-Hurts Power", etc etc.... So I JOKINGLY added to the hype train... RELAX!

I'll add one more. With the Lohse signing I think the Milwaukee Brewers are a favorite for the playoffs.
