I inherited a keeper team and have chosen the following keepers (in the respective lineup slots):
C:
1B: Edwin Encarnacion
2B: Brandon Phillips
3B:
SS: Jimmy Rollins
OF: Melky Cabrera
OF: Nick Markakis
OF: Emilio Bonifacio
OF:
OF:
UT: Danny Espinosa
UT: Everth Cabrera
UT: Kendrys Morales
UT:
UT:
RP: Craig Kimbrel
RP: Jason Grilli
RP:
RP:
RP:
SP: Max scherzer
SP: James Shields
SP: Marco Estrada
SP:
SP:
(no bench)
The categories are as extensive and are as follows:
R, 2B, 3B, HR, TB, RBI, BB, SB, FPCT, AVG, OPS
IP, SV, ER, BB, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP, K/9, BB/9,
I see absolutely no need to target SB or 2B. I feel like I should look to grab one more power bat (20+ HR) especially one who will help me in the RBI department (but I do not know if one will be available). I also think I need someone who can post a high batting average to help offset Reynolds, Cabrera, Espinosa.
In regards to the pitching side my keepers shoudl help me do well in K, K/9, IP, SV and are not negative factors in the other ones. I think I should look to take a couple high-strikeout relievers to offset having to take some SP who don't post great K numbers but will help me in QS, IP, BB, or other rate stats.
What do you guys think? Thank you very much and I'll gladly help you out in return.
