1 at bat, vs. either Kerry Wood when he's going for his complete game, or Borowski when he's closing it? Haha, that's a no brainer..sorry Griffey, you're sitting.
Whiffey, (as I like to call him when he sits) should be able to suck it up and be in the lineup today, its opening freaking day! Otherwise, go on the DL....sorry, im just pissed, happens every year.
Anyone else think that the Reds could be working on a trade, and maybe Griffey is sitting out as players about to be traded usually do? I know it's a long shot, but it seems strange that he's sitting out after yesterday they said he'd play. Maybe the weather is really cold or rainy though.
Well, it is cold here in Cincy, but not rainy and the sun is shining, I dont think a trade is in the works, I think Griff has to prove himself healthy and productive for awhile before they can get any sort of value for him.

There we go, that's why he's sitting. I wouldn't want him playing in the cold either, those muscles would be wayyyy too tight. Smart to bench him actually.
