How many starters and how many relievers?

Postby zman3599 » Mon Mar 11, 2013 1:33 am

Hey guys I am in a H2H 8 man league, the scoring system is below.

Batting

Total Bases (TB) 1 Walks (BB) 1
Runs Scored (R) 1 Runs Batted In (RBI) 1
Stolen Bases (SB) 1 Strikeouts (K) -1

Pitching

Innings Pitched (IP) 3 Earned Runs (ER) -2
Wins (W) 5 Losses (L) -5
Saves (SV) 5 Strikeouts (K) 1
Hits Allowed (H) -1 Walks Issued (BB) -1

So we can have up to 9 pitchers, with any combination of starters and closers. The cap is 12 starts per week.
How many starters and how many relievers would you play ?

Don't have set numbers for how many of each you want to start...you'll limit yourself too much. Just stick to your strategy and if you end up with 7 starters and 2 relievers, so be it. I'd say you can't go any fewer than 5 starters though.

Also, throw this in baseball leftovers...this is more a strategy question and a lot of people talk more strategy in that forum ;-D
