Scherzer / Gallardo for Bautista?

Postby ggs » Sun Mar 10, 2013 2:07 pm

13-team H2H Dynasty

Give:
Max Scherzer
Yovani Gallardo
Josh Willingham

Get:
Jose Bautista
Ryan Dempster
Joe Nathan

Thoughts? I lose a bunch of pitching (will be left with Latos / Morrow), but obviously arms are easier to find than bats during the season.

Well...if you don't have a ton of pitching as is...you might be in trouble. Yes Joey Bats is best player in this deal...hmm....what does your full roster look like so I can better gauge this.

If pitching is available in your league then go for it. If he stays healthy, Bautista could be a top five player. It;ll be easier to replace the pitching stats than his.

im leaning towards doing it. agree that getting jose is key, even if it blows up my pitching staff a bit.

my roster:
c: perez
1b: fielder, reynolds
2b: altuve
ss: segura, hardy
3b: beltre, ramirez
of: ichiro, markakis, willingham, soriano, hunter
bn: reimold, avila, moss, hamilton

sp: scherzer, gallardo, morrow, latos
rp: uehara, h. rodriguez
bn: niese, burnett, lilly, e-jackson, wandy

Yeah, it's a risky move and I'd do it only if there is decent pitching to nab the player pool. You're hitting is already strong and you have Hamilton sitting on your bench. Worse comes to worse, hopefully you could probably trade J-Ham for a solid pitcher and decent hitter.
