For those who are either drafting all hitters in the first part of their snake draft leagues, or for those only paying for hitters and only spending $1 on SPs late, who are some good pitchers who have big time K rates, that just need to put it all together?
Last year Chris Sale was a guy who had nasty stuff and a good K rate who was going in late rounds or for peanuts in auction leagues. After a good season he's established and expensive now.
Who are some guys like him (guys transferring from the bullpen to SP role, or young guys with eye popping K rates in the minors who are getting a spot in the rotation, or post-hype sleepers who have nasty stuff)?
Depending on your league categories, I like guys such as Steve Johnson and Phelps. At best, starters with some upside; at worst, swing men that will provide innings, some wins and good other numbers.

+1
I really like Archer as well. I haven't done or seen any mock auction prices so I may be off on some of these guys, but what about...
J. Beckett J. Garcia E. Ramirez E. Jackson A. Griffin W. Chen C. Buchholz J. Niemann D. Straily D. Gee
...to name a few. I guess it depends on how deep your league is as well.
Good list, though I'm not crazy about Buchholz, Griffin or Garcia. Erasmo Ramirez is going very late & Edwin Jackson continues to get no respect. I also would target Cobb; Archer in deeper leagues.
Looking at guys who will get more than 7.5 K/9 since you mentioned Ks, plus guys who won't kill your ratios and who had peripherals so ERA shouldn't be a huge concern.
Fiers Hammel Cobb Jackson Straily Estrada
Niemann and Gee are good names too but you have to make sure they are healthy first.
Anyone like Jake Arrieta? His era/whip is less than desirable, but he sported an 8.6 k/9 in 114 innings last year. He also cut his BB rate in half from 4.4 BB/9 in 2011 to 2.7 BB/9 in 2012. Worth a $1 if he wins a rotation spot out of camp?
