Anyone think this opens up a chance for Dee Gordon to break camp with the team. Cruz is looking to be suspended and with him seeming to start everything the dodgers dont seem to be too happy. Could this force Hanley to 3rd and give Gordon a spot at short he has been having a good spring to this point.

Will any fall out from this even bleed over to the big league clubs? I don't have any clue why the Dodgers, for example, would suspend one of their own players for something they did on another team.

I've read a bunch of the coverage and none of it mentions MLB suspensions. Enlighten me...

Luis Cruz incited a benches-clearing brawl in Saturday's WBC game between Team Mexico and Team Canada.
Cruz, Mexico's starting third baseman, directed pitcher Arnold Leon to hit Canada's Rene Tosoni with a pitch after Canadian catcher Chris Robinson laid down a successful bunt single with Canada leading 9-3 in the top of the ninth inning. It was a fair bunt by Robinson because having a strong run differential is crucial to advancing out of pool play. Cruz also threw the first punch when the teams met angrily in front of home plate. He seems likely to face a suspension for both the World Baseball Classic and a few regular-season MLB games. The Dodgers probably aren't too thrilled. Mar 9 - 8:06 PM
I am still looking for the original article that I read. Cant remember what site it was on. Ill post it if/when I find it. This one is from Rotoworld

RotoWorld mentioned a suspension:
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/4675/luis-cruzCruz is probably on somewhat thin ice with the Dodgers anyway. He's not making nearly enough money to be on the team.

And here I thought you would be discussing the fight instead of a longshot adds happening which could possibly affect your fantasy team.

Okay, I'll start. Alfredo Aceves, if he doesn't keep the job in the MLB, should try out to be an NHL defenseman. He tried to take on the entire Canadian team in the news clip I saw this morning. That's gutsy and worth a few penalty minutes on any team.
Aceves...what about Gillis (?) he tossed Aceves away like an old used up tissue.

It's been announced that no suspensions will be coning, either in the WBC or MLB. It's a shame that it takes something like this for the majority of US sports fans to even realize that the WBC is happening.
