Let's not forget about V-Mart. If he's truly healthy, batting in that lineup, and only DHing, he could put up some nice numbers for a later pick.

If I were doing drafts this year I would get Napoli a lot. Catcher eligible playing 1B. Same reasons as VMart except VMart will be hitting somewhere around Prince and MCab. :-L

I also have an irrational crush on Harvey. Maybe is control is off this year but 8+ K/9. :-L

I usually do a column titled "Must Haves" and this is essentially the same exact thing. Here's my guys....

Max Scherzer
Anthony Rizzo
Matt Moore
Eric Hosmer
Brett Anderson
Pedro Alvarez
Starling Marte
Lorenzo Cain
Grant Balfour
Josh Beckett
Jed Lowrie
Jurickson Profar
Brandon Belt
Jaime Garcia

.... just to name a few, lol.

These are guys I will reach a round or two in order to acquire them. Obviously I cant land all of them, but IMO, theyre worth reaching for and will greatly exceed their ADP.

My must-haves:

veteran bats:
Yoenes Cespedes (should rise to Top 25 bat status in 2013)
Paul Goldschmidt
Jonathan Lucroy (much value in mid-teens or lower)

veteran arms:
Max Scherzer
Brett Anderson
Mike Fiers (Just love this guy's low-round value)

Prospects (only if they fall far enough):

Oscar Taveras (I drool over the prospect I might get him)
Jedd Gyorko
Matt Harvey
My Friendliness bar...recently shrunk from 11.3 to 10mm long!!

I'll limit my list to 5. I like Aramis Ramirez a lot for his ADP/AV it's almost like playing Billy Butler at 3B. Marco Estrada is my favorite late round SP. I think Frieri will get the saves in LA and be a top 5 RP. Adam LaRoche and Torii Hunter don't get enough love.

Not a very exciting list but there's my guys right there.

Two players I think are going a lot later than what I think they're worth are Jeremy Hellickson and Nick Markakis.

Hellickson is a great ERA pitcher who knows how to manage a game and gives you quality starts more often than not. The fact that he's on a good team like Tampa makes me excited about him because while none of their pitchers (minus Price) have been studs, they all seem to have quiet yet solid years and are always underrated by fantasy owners.

With Markakis, most people dismiss him because he isn't the "flashy" player they're looking for. While he was hurt twice last year (the first season he's played less than 140 games), he fell just short of .300 in 104 games and has never hit under .284. He's good for 15 HR, 70 runs and 65 RBI every year...I'll take that out of my 3rd OF in a 10- or 12-team league.

I think he's referring to the fact that they have played less than 3 seasons combined, hardly qualifying them as "veterans".
