I had the 5th pick in a Yahoo pro league, so exactly the situation you described.
I went with Votto, then later grabbed high power/low avg guys like Howard to offset the differences. And just in the off chance that he does ding 30+ hr, that would just be icing on the cake.

Kemp for me, though like many I'm torn between he and Votto. They both have pretty safe floors assuming good health (which is a bit of a ? for both, perhaps more so for Kemp), but I like Kemp's ceiling more.

Kemp or Votto for me. In a 12 team 5 OF standard 5x5 league I'd lean towards Kemp because 1B is deeper.
