Altuve vs Kendrick?

Postby ggs » Wed Mar 06, 2013 4:49 pm

20-team H2H dynasty

Give:
Howie Kendrick, Brandon Belt, Johnny Venters (league counts holds)

Get:
José Altuve, Brandon Moss, Ichiro Suzuki

I like the upgrade from Kendrick to Altuve, but would rather hang onto Belt / Venters. Is the upgrade at 2B worth it?

I think it is worth it. Altuve is younger and better than Kendrick. Unfortunately, Belt may never come around, and holds can always be found.

Ill take the Altuve side. Altuve is young with a ton of potential growth still, while Hendrick is what he is and nothing more at this point.

Belt probably has some value in a deep leagues especially if you have a CI spot. But if you are playing him in the OF, I wouldnt be surprised if Ichiro outproduces him the next two years.

Bginda2G is right holds can always be found and I don't value them that high.

Ichiro might be in his last year but a 275/30SB/90 Run OF is stiil pretty valuable and MRP can always be found. Alltuve is the best player so its ok if you have room to take on the extra talent. Moss has some upside in a deep deep league with his power.

I really like Belt this year, but I agree to take Altuve side.

Yeah, I'm on the Altuve side as well. He's the best guy in the trade, Kendrick is old anyway, and holds are wildly unpredictable.
