Keeper League - Drafting Question -12th and 13th picks

Yahoo H2H League, scoring categories: OBP, RBI, HR, SB, R; WHIP, ERA, Saves, Ks, Ws

I have 12th and 13th pick overall. My keepers are Trout, Hamilton, Castro, Sale, and D. Price.

Some other top players are being kept, so here is the current top 25 on Yahoo's available players:

Most guys will follow these rankings pretty closely. So, who do I look to draft at pick 12 and 13?

I don't understand the question. The guys you listed, including Pujols, Cabrera and Braun, are all available? Why are they not being kept by other teams? If this is the case, just follow the list, and take the best availables at 12 and 13. You're not going to screw up taking any of those guys you listed.

You need IF more than OF, so look to Beltre, Wright, Longo or Pedroia or Kinsler. You don't need arms until later in the draft. Probably want to take someone who has speed with either these two picks, or the next ones you get.

Those guys are all available. Basically you keep a guy for a round earlier than what you drafted him the year before. So it's incredibly costly to keep a guy like Cabrera if you took him in the 1st or 2nd round the year prior, if that makes sense. Guys like Trout last year (drafted in the 15th by me) are great because now I keep him for a 14th round pick. Basically free agent pickups and late round draft picks are the best keeper prospects.

I was more asking to see who people like more than others. Longoria or Beltre? Kinsler or Pedroia? Stuff like that.

And in answer to your two examples, I take Longoria by just a hair over Beltra and Pedroia by a slightly larger margin over Pedroia.

I'm still tempted to go Longo there, even though he burned me last season. Longo/Kinsler is a real crap shoot health-wise of course, but if they can stay on the field you'll be gold (big if0. That said, based on my rankings, you want Upton there for sure, and then one other guy. Having been smacked around by Longo once I think I might end up going Upton/Kinsler there.
