10 Team head to head league. I have been offered Hanley Ramirez and Cliff Lee in exchange for Andrew Mccutchen. I have also been offered Adrian Beltre and R.A. Dickey for Mccutchen. I have read a lot on Mccutchen being pitched around more this year. What do you guys think about these trade offers?
I'd like to see your team to see where you have an excess/need for different positions. But I don't think I'd take the Beltre/Dickey trade. Don't like Dickey much this year and Beltre is not a 1st round pick where as Cutch could be top 5. The Hanley/Lee trade is a bit more intriguing and would ultimately come down to what you need. If you need a SS or SP, I'd do it if you have enough OF after Cutch. If not, I'd stay put.
My outfield right now is: Mccutchen, Ellsbury, Bruce, Aoki, and Eaton. I have Prado at third base but could move him to the outfield if I trade Mccutchen.
Nice OF. I still don't think I'd do Beltre & Dickey though. I'm really high on Cutch. And Prado at 3B is a nice fit too. Seems you did a pretty good job with the names I've seen so far...nice balance of power, average and SBs
I don't like it initially...Hamilton isn't anywhere near as great as Cutch. Lee's a nice piece to throw in, but it matters most if you have good SP. If you have a solid #1, I'd say no way. If you're hurting on pitching though, you might have to take a chance. Reynolds means nothing in the trade though
David Price is my number one pitcher. With Sale and Scherzer behind him. I guess I'll wait it out with Mccutchen and hope he duplicates his form from last year.
Yeah I'd keep him. For me, if you don't get amazing value for a 1st round pick, you've gotta hold onto the player. And with Price, Sale, Scherzer, you don't need Lee
