I took Cano 13th overall (out of 14) and won the league (H2H), finishing 2nd out of 14 in the regular season.

I only had one non keeper snake draft last year and I picked 16th. I took Pedroia and Granderson and ended up taking 3rd.

I usually do Auction. My two most expensive picks were Longoria and Tulo, but I got somewhat lucky with mid season free agents and won it anyhow.

Was in one AL only draft, took Pedroia first and then Beltre. Finished 3rd. Pedroia was a poor choice for the 1st round, retrospectively.

I took Matt kemp in a cafeholics draft and managed to avoid last.

I honestly can't remember my other team. I think I took Longoria/Pedrioa at the 13/16 turn. that league sucked also.

I took Matt Kemp with the 5th overall pick in the Cafe Pond Scum League. It was considered a steal at the time

After April, I was in first (or tied for first) up until the end. Kaiser got 3 points on the last day and beat me by 1.5 points.

I drfated Ryan Braun in one league (2nd I think) and that went well, and I drafted Longo late in the first on the N00bs and managed 6th place (not as bad as it could have been). My other league is a keeper, so it doesn't count.

Miggy in one 12 team roto league, finished 2nd behind a guy that had Braun/Trout.

Longo in a 20 team h2h league. Didn't make the playoffs since half my team got hurt.

It was not a good year for me.

If you did a million of these, you'd find they really don't correlate to winning, but could indicate a really crap year...which is further proof that you can't win in round 1 but you can probably make sure you won't. Get the best "guarenteed" production and live to fight another round.
