What? You mean you don't understand what Rivalry Week is? Ha ha ha, ho ho ho...

Oh wait. I don't understand it either

It is sort of a running joke around the office. Years ago we were asked to implement it without any clear motivation for what it was or how it would work. So at this point all it does is put a banner on your matchups saying it is Rivalry Week heh... That being said: if any of you have ideas for what you might *want* it to be/do, I'd be curious to hear them.

I don't know about Yahoo, but in our football league, we use rivalry weeks to set each team to have a 'rival' (usually there's some healthy competition between them from a previous season). If one team sweeps the other over the course of the regular season, then the winner gets to rename the other team for the following season. It adds another level of competition to an otherwise typical fantasy week and if you space them out, it keeps both clubs interested late in the season...something to play for. Pride is shame are power factors.

Rivalry Week is a big deal in our head-to-head league. We build our schedule around division rivalries.
