On the football side, they usually create a series of threads for banter about where players should be selected in the first round. I know it is a bit more difficult due to the multitude of scoring options for fantasy baseball leagues but let's give it a shot.
1) Select a player in the poll 2) Feel free to discuss the pros and cons of these players - this could be helpful for some and generate some good discussion.
Ryan Braun and nobody else is even remotely close.
Cabrera probably had his career last year and couldn't crack the top 4 in fantasy, the lack of SB just hurts him too much. Trout is just too unknown, if he just doubles what he did 2nd half last year he isn't close to Braun.
I'm not even a tiny bit worried about this steriod thing, just nowhere near enough proof for them to touch any of the players.

This. I have Braun and Cabrera putting up similar numbers with Braun stealing around 25 bases more. He's easily my #1.
No fear of the MLB investigation leading to a 50 game suspension?
My drafts are still a few weeks away but this will likely make me stay clear from Braun at least if i have one of the first few picks No one else? Even if the chance is only 20% that is a big risk

Nope. MLB couldn't suspend him for a failed test. No way anyone is gonna get suspended over having their name on a piece of paper with no context and no other evidence.
The CBA has changed since Braun escaped punishment. They no longer need a positive test in order to suspend a player for PEDs. That said, I doubt much will come of the Biogenesis stuff because it seems like just a bunch of scribbled notes without much hard proof.

Yes this is it and he proved the first test wasn't accurate by reproducing the fact he could create a false positive even if ESPN refused to report it since it would make them look bad. There is no chance at all he is suspended for this silly report.
As for the "brewing scandal" in Florida, Barun's not the only guy on the list, and if MLB aggressively pursued and punished all the players involved it would be a pretty big black eye for a sport claiming to have cleaned itself up. I actually think it would set an example for future cheats that no one is immune, but I think MLB will find a way to put the issue to rest after the appropriate investigation time...they hope.
If you were really worried, I'd go Miggy, but if the draft were tomorrow and I could get Braun, it's be a done deal.
