M.Bourn FOR J.Johnson (WHIR)

Deep Roster 15 team Fantasy Points/Mixed/Auction League where we keep 12 players yearly, players have 3 year contracts then become free agents or toppers. I have been offered the following trade.

I GET:
SP - J.Johnson $19 (2 years left @ that salary) - once was considered 1 of the 5 best arms in the game, injuries have slowed him down but does he bounce back with a big Cast behind him with the Jays?

I MOVE:
OF - M.Bourn $8 (1 year left @ this salary) - I currently am already protecting 3-OF (of my 12 keepers) (McCutchen/Trout/Craig) don't want to tie up all my keepers in the Outfield, happy keeping just 3 then drafting 2.

Is $19 a bit to much to protect and rely on for Josh Johnson? does he rebound this season as he enters his Free Agency walk-off Season? Whats his value.....in an Auction.

I think you keep Bourn here. 19 is too much for Johnson who can never seem to stay healthy or be consistent. I don't like giving up steals and runs for a guy you can't be sure about at an inflated price. Stick with Bourn.

Stick with Bourn for sure!

I like Bourn much better than Johnson straight up.

When you factor in that Johnson is more than double the cost of Bourn it's not even close.



I get that you would prefer not to keep 4 OF's.....but in this case you are definitely overreacting.....and it would be a mistake to accept this trade.

I am definitely on Josh Johnson having a good year,but there is no way you should do this deal.

I think moving Bourn makes sense for your team, but I wouldn't trade him for Josh Johnson straight up, let alone where I am taking a huge amount of salary on for him. Yes, Johnson stayed healthy last year, but other than that, there was not much impressive or encouraging about his year at all. Moving to the AL East is not going to make things easier.
