Minor league Draft Starting Who should I drop

Postby bujfan2030 » Sat Feb 23, 2013 1:54 pm

We have a 3 rd minor league draft. I pick 13th in a 14 team league. we keep a 5 man minor league roster
Is the talent deep enough in this year's draft that you would consider dropping any of these players.
Taijuan Walker
Oswaldo Arcia
Jake Marisnick
Rougned Odor
Evan Gattis
I think Arcia has a chance to come up this season and I know Walker is very strong so I guess my question is more for Marisnick, Odor, and Gattis.

You should strongly consider dropping:

1. Gattis - we are talking about a 27 year old right handed hitter who has made it to AA. Maybe he turns into a poor man's Ryan Ludwick, but realistically he is probably a bench bat on the wrong side of a platoon. In a word...expendable.

2. Odor - he has some solid ability but his best case appears to be something resembling Howie Kendrick and he is a long way from reaching a pretty nominal ceiling.

I would prefer to take someone in your draft (not sure who is out there) but guys with higher ceilings than these two are needed to win fantasy leagues.

I agree. Gattis is no longer a prospect and Odor is only worth keepeing if there are 20+ teams in your league.
