Who were you most impressed with tonight

tell me about it: All my fantasy hopes were raised for that split second the ball left ortiz's bat.

I was most impressed with my friend sitting next to me's prognostication skills. This is a direct quote: "Cesar Crespo will cost my Scott Williamson."

Almost as good as my, "Aaron Boone will be the hero." Even before the game started and it was announced he wouldn't be in the lineup.
Ok maybe mine was a little better.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

Never mind, I was being an idiot.

Most impressed with Maz. Letting the boys run a bit ...

Easily Ponson. The guy outpitched Pedro, held last year's top offense to one run, got the win, and had a shaved head in that ice box.

what was really interesting to me was the fact that Ponson was hitting 95 mph last night and pedro only touched 90 a couple of times. If Pedro only stays around 88 all year, he's in for some trouble.

This is what struck me as well. Pedro looked more like Greg Maddux last night (using speeds and location to stay out of trouble) then the overpowering pitcher he once was. I'd be a little concerned - but then again it's just one game.

I'll second Ponson looking good. Admittedly, it's not the monster Bosox lineup but he handled himself very well and seemed to have command of the game, pretty much from the get-go.

I was encouraged by Manny Ramirez' first two AB but not the second!! Oh well, .500 is ok!!

Also, Damon owners should lobby to include 'hat falling off' in their stat categories!!!
