14 team contract keeper 6x6 adding OPS and HOLDS with daily lineup changes
RP: Nathan Romo Putz Grilli Cook O'Flaherty
SP: Latos Kennedy Kuroda Peavy Marcum J. Santana Estrada Milone Liriano D Hudson Blanton Zito Diamond Phelps
I have several injured/recovering arms and Pineda is another gamble with high upside.
Pineda also comes signed cheap for 2014. Nathan not signed for 2014 and getting old.
The top teams in this league have 15 SPs. This is a weekly, not a points league. So missing Pineda for a couple of months will not hurt. But if he comes back as he was, the W, K, ERA and Whip will be welcome.
With 4 projected closers, would you pull this trigger?

Keep Nathan. Pineda was a monster at home and ordinary on the road for the Mariners. Safeco field helped him a lot, plus he faded a lot in the second half of 2011.
Help with mine?

I wouldn't do it. In a 14 team keeper having 4 closers is a good bargaining chip, but I wouldn't use it to get Pineda at this point. First you don't know when he will come back. June is the best case scenario. Second, he hasn't pitched in well over a year and will now be pitching in a ban box compared to Safeco and in the toughest division in the AL. Theres going to be an adjustment period for sure.
Nathan is an old but productive closer, who was terrific last year.. If you think you can compete this year I definitely keep Nathan right now. Even if you don't think you can or you still just want to move him, I wouldn't do this deal right now. Wait to see how things shake out during the season. You might want to trade Nathan for something else depending on how your season breaks.
