So I came in second (because of a stupid tie breaker rule) in my h2h league's playoffs last year. We are entering our fifth year. I've finished third once, second twice (both times due to the yahoo tiebreaker, which defaults to regular season record), and I won two years ago.
Our scoring settings are R, HR, AVG, SB, RBI, E and BBs for hitters, and W, SV, WHIP, Ks, HR allowed, HLD, and ERA for pitchers.
We need to fill the following positions - C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, UTIL, SP, SP, RP, RP, RP, P, P, P, P, and we have six BN spots and three DL slots.
We get to keep 10 players year to year. Here are the players I'm keeping for sure:
Other hitters on my roster include: LaRoche, Lucroy, Reddick, A-Rod, and Napoli
Other pitchers on my roster include: Burnett, Carpenter, Wilson, Hudson, Floyd, Diamond, Phelps, Betancourt, Janssen, Parnell, Cook, and Marshall.
I am probably going to go with either Napoli or Wilson as my final keeper, but am leaning towards Napoli. I'm a little scared of his hip issue, but having a C who plays 1B could be extremely valuable. I know I need pitching, but I'll just load up in the first few rounds of the draft since my offence is pretty solid. Any other suggestions?
I don't see a reason to keep beachy at all, your waisting a roster spot on a guy you could surely get back somewhere late in the draft if you want, then DL him.....I like your guys you have selected, but I would take napoli and bentacourt....good luck..
If you don't think I should keep Beachy, then who else should I keep?
The potential payoff eventually with Beachy is too much to risk someone else grabbing him, unless you can make a compelling argument as to who else I should keep?

I would keep LaRoche and Betancourt instead Beachy also. I would stay away from Napoli, I don't trust him with all the health issues.

Beachy isn't expected back till the mid way point?, So no keeping him and losing out on potetial fantasy numbers right from the get go will hurt you in the long haul.....Like I said, the guy is on the DL how fast do u expect him to be taken? If u can wait till near the end of your draft then sure take a chance and the DL him and grab a WW guy till he comes back, but if your worried that someone is going to draft him too early, well let'em....He wont give the value u want when he is drafted too early...
That's really close. Two out of the last three years I finished second because of the tiebreaker, which defaults to regular season record against your opponent. So frustrating.
