Trade Advice - Pujols

Postby Tonk78 » Wed Feb 20, 2013 8:27 pm

I have been wanting a top 1B in my keeper baseball league. I have Rizzo, Morales, Smoak, and Morneau, and none of them have produced as much as I would like of late at that key offensive position.

I have a chance to trade Jay Bruce, Justin Smoak, and Gerritt Cole for Pujols.

This would leave my outfield strong as I would still have Bruan, Ellsbury, and Fowler.

Thoughts?

Considering Ellsbury's injury history and Fowler's inconsistency, I think I'd rather keep Bruce and hold out hope for Rizzo. 1b is generally the deepest position, so maybe try to find someone near the top rather than the guy at the top, especially since he's turning 34.

Being from Mn I am not biased, but I think the concussions are going to be past Morneau and the Twins are going to want to move him and his contract. I believe he will perform well and then get moved to a much better opportunity to succeed. i would thus pass on that trade. remember this, 1B is the deepest position on the board and you can have a 10-14th rank 1B and be stronger at other positions. Keep the youth that you have for this yr.

I'd probably just dump Smoak for depth elsewhere and Fowler is a bit risky...matter of fact I'd take a chance on someone ELSE over Fowler. Ellsbury/Braun/Bruce is a very good OF.

Absolultly what dog said, that is a good outfield. But how many keepers are u allowed, whats the scoring, what do your rosters look like, and who do you currently have on your whole roster right now...this would help us to help u...people helping people...lol
