Rate my Keepers

16 Team H2H points league (keepers)...pitching is slightly more valuable (based on the amount they score compared to hitters)..we keep 10 per year and draft the rest
I currently gave up my 1st rounder for Gio Gonzalez and my 3rd for Ellsbury

Rate my team on a 1 to 10 scale, any comments on how I should approach my draft would be much appreciated.

Tommy Hanson and Michael Pineda are the only 2 worth mentioning...(had a bad draft last year)...I don't see the upside of Hanson over Gio, CC, CJ, or Anderson, but if anyone does please give your 2 cents...Pineda doesn't appear to be coming back till later...

You've got two killer starters, I'd draft infielders first then pick up starters and relievers

Not a big fan of Howard but I like Brett Anderson having a great year.

I would first go MI, and then grab a C if any good ones are available---not sure who might be but if there is no Perez, Montero, or Rosario type I would wait until end and grab a Jaso/Castro/Ellis

I think this is probably the best I could go too. You know what you need in the infield (C, 2B, SS). I'd scope out the player pool just before the draft and know the other teams' rosters to see what they may be going for and then plan accordingly.

I know it cost you two high draft picks, but it's a good core to build your team around. As long as you know what you need, don't reach and let the draft come to you (I hate that saying when it's being said to me, but it's true) , you should be pleased with the end result.
