Need Help Deciding on Keepers

Postby nycguy » Tue Feb 19, 2013 11:42 pm

I'm in a H2H league with a $260 salary cap. It's a keeper league and every player salaries go up $4 a year.
Need help deciding who to keep and who to cut. Recommendations are appreciated. I got to get this below $260. No limit on the mumber of keepers. So who are the keepers for their respective dollar amounts?
Here are the players with their salaries:

Joe Mauer --$15
Ike Davis--$9
Ian Kinsler --$25
Trevor Plouffe-- $5
Manny Machado -- $2
Miguel Cabrera --$40
Mark Teixiera--$25
Josh Hamilton--$26
Curtis Granderson--$33
Matt Holliday--$25
Jayson Werth--$12
Howie Kendrick--$10
Shin Soo Choo--$20
Dee Gordan --$3
Madison Baumgartner--$7
Clayton Kershaw--$26
Matt Harvey--$2
Johnny Cueto $15
Edwin Jackson--$9
Ian Kennedy--$13
Jordan Zimmermann--$13
Drew Pomeranz--$2
Greg Holland--$5
Casey Jannsen--$9
Ernesto Frieri--$5
Sergio Romo--$5

It's a 12 team league mixed. H2H. So single is 1 point , double 2. Track HR, RBI, 3B, SB, R , BB and negative points for CS and K's. Pitching categories are IP, K's, W, HD , QS and negative for H, ER, BB, L.

Positions are all infield, included CI, MI, 4 OF and utility with 6 SP and 3 RP

Here are the players with their salaries:

Joe Mauer --$15 (Keep)
Ike Davis--$9
Ian Kinsler --$25 (any idea what 2nd basemen will be thrown back in?)
Trevor Plouffe-- $5
Manny Machado -- $2 (keep)
Miguel Cabrera --$40 (I would keep him, but at that price, probably not for to many more years)
Mark Teixiera--$25
Josh Hamilton--$26 (would probably keep him)
Curtis Granderson--$33
Matt Holliday--$25 (would keep)
Jayson Werth--$12 (maybe, could possibly get him cheaper)
Howie Kendrick--$10
Shin Soo Choo--$20
Dee Gordan --$3
Madison Baumgartner--$7 (KEEP)
Clayton Kershaw--$26 (Keep)
Matt Harvey--$2
Johnny Cueto $15
Edwin Jackson--$9
Ian Kennedy--$13
Jordan Zimmermann--$13 (keep)
Drew Pomeranz--$2
Greg Holland--$5
Casey Jannsen--$9
Ernesto Frieri--$5
Sergio Romo--$5
(about fair market value, keep)

Maybe package tex and granderson for another player. find some diehard yankee fan. That is alot of power though, just not fond of the prices. obviously theres more keeper value, but how many people are you expecting other teams throwing back into the pile?
