Josh Willingham at 127 on Yahoo... Am I missing something?

I think he could easily hit 30 HR and 100 RBI, steal a few bags and score a good bunch of runs... Is he really only a tenth rounder? I compare him quite favorably to a player like Jay Bruce, who could go as early as the third...

Bruce is 26 years old, batting in a great lineup in a great park. He has hit 30+ HR each of the past 2 years and steals 8-9 bases. The context of the numbers for Bruce just point to a much better outcome even if the actual numbers are closer than most would think over the past 2 years. Willingham will most likely take a step back and Bruce is of the age that he could easily show even more this year. I think the ceiling for Willingham is probably right around the floor for Bruce. He is probably being underrated some but it is hard to buy into a 34 year old player in today's game.

99% of people think he will hit under his 35 home run total, so he gets dropped way down in drafts. Where he is going I think people are hoping for .260-75-25-85-3 or better. If you think he will exceed those numbers by a good margin, target him a round early.

I think thats a reasonable projection.

I think he's going to get injured. He'll get his HR's as long as he's playing but he has shown no ability to stay off the DL in the past and now he's 34. Combine that with a .260 avg and almost zero SB's and it's hard to draft him any earlier.
