Keeper Advice

Postby orioles4life » Tue Feb 19, 2013 4:01 pm

I'm in a standard roto league where we can keep up to 6 players. We don't need to keep 6 though. If I keep less I can draft earlier. Unfortunately I can't tell what keepers the other managers in my league have made. I'm torn between keeping some solid veteran players or taking prospects.

Thanks in advance for your advice:

Hitters:

Hanley Ramirez
Ryan Zimmerman
Yoenis Cespedes
Allen Craig
Mark Teixeira
Salvador Perez
Nick Swisher
Michael Morse
Howie Kendrick
Manny Machado
Justin Ruggiano
Josh Donaldson

Pitchers:

Zack Greinke
CC Sabathia
Kris Medlen
Tim Lincecum
Greg Holland
Shaun Marcum
Steve Cishek
Kenley Jansen
Clay Buchholz
Ernesto Frieri
Vinnie Pestano
Wilton Lopez

i agree with toled's choices above. The only other option i would consider is keeping Big Tex over CC. Starting pitching and firstbase is extremey deep and you know the power numbers Mark will provide. I have them close to the same in the rankings and normally go with the big bat. Other things i would consider are other owners projected keepers and where you pick in the draft

any inputs appreciated, viewtopic.php?t=454751

I also agree with the Mudhens selections. I am not a big fan of CC this year, but he is your 6th best keeper. If I was you, I would attempt to find an owner that is big on CC and offer up CC and Tex for a single player upgrade. So go find that NYY fan and make it happen!

A little help here if you don't mind.

Hanley Ramirez, Yoenis Cespedes, Allen Craig, Zack Greinke, CC Sabathia, Kris Medlen.

Tim Lincecum and Manny Machado were my other thoughts, but I think you can probably get Lincecum for less than last year, and I think Machado is still a decent bargain if you let him go.

I agree with jtsandwich
Ya if your going to get any value out of tex, your going to have to find a serious yankee fan and offer cc and tex for 1 player.Tex doesnt hold much value these days....as a yankee fan i could so do without him and arod...ahhhhh there going to suck this year....lol :~( :~(
